Notice of marriage appointment
Terms and conditions
I/We
- have carefully read the information and guidance on the website and understand the requirements needed to give notice of marriage
- understand we must be 18 or over to marry
- have been living in the registration district for a full 7 days
- have a ceremony booked in a licenced venue
- understand we can give notice up to one year before the ceremony
- understand at least 28 full days’ notice must be given in order to marry - this may be extended to 70 days by the Home Office, dependant on immigration status
- will bring a translator to the appointment if either partner is not able to understand English
- understand that a booking fee of £42 is payable for each partner
- understand that an administration fee of £6.50 is payable for each partner and is non-refundable
- understand the booking fee will convert to a notice fee once the notice has been accepted
- understand that requests to move or cancel must be given in writing by email, with at least 3 full working days' notice. Any changes with less than 5 days' notice will incur a fee
- understand that if I/we do not meet all of the requirements the appointment will be cancelled without refund
- understand that if I/we do not bring all of the required documents the appointment will be cancelled without refund
